Development accelerated to meet buyer demand
Torhaven accelerates delivery program to satisfy demand
The Federal Government’s HomeBuilder grant has prompted a rush of enquiries and sales the Deebing Heights project.
Since the launch of the grant more than $3 million in land has been snapped up by eager buyers. Many others have had to register for the next land release. Many Torhaven buyers are first home buyers, meaning they may also qualify for the $15,000 State Government grant.
Buyers hoping to get access to the $25,000 HomeBuilder grant will need to sign a contract for their house and land before 31 December 2020, and then start construction within three months. The grant has created a massive demand for registered homesites where building can commence within the three-month limit.
To help meet demand Torhaven is bringing forward the release of new, ready to build on homesites. A total of 29 registered lots are now available, and more will be released in the coming months.
The latest stages, Greenrise 7 & 8, includes 22 premium home sites with generous frontages and sizes up to 610 sqm priced from only $167,700. To date, more than 80 lots worth nearly $16 million have been sold at Torhaven.
Property services group Oliver Hume is undertaking sales and marketing of the Torhaven project.
Oliver Hume Queensland Project Director Matt Barr said the combination of the HomeBuilder grant, first home buyer grant and low-interest rates had created some of the most attractive conditions for buyers in Queensland’s land market for many years.
“While some people are impacted by the current economic conditions, for those with stable employment and some savings, there has never been a better time to buy,” he said.
A significant feature of the community space is the recently opened Rawlings Park. The park includes 1.6ha of landscaped park; open space and wetlands; a kick-about area with soccer nets; basketball half court with backboard and net; balance beam; and nature play area with a viewing platform.
